Whereas conventional blinds hang ‘next to’ a pane of glass, Internal Blinds hang permanently in the cavity between two glass panels of an IGU, such as the space between the glass panels in a double glazed window.
It’s an ingenious method of using the IGU cavity while keeping the blind in a secure, dust-free environment.
Internal Blinds are designed to operate independently and without affecting the seal or performance of an IGU in any way. Apart from removing the need for cleaning, there are numerous other benefits associated with Internal Blinds. In busy or cramped areas, blinds are fully protected from damage caused by scrapes, bumps, or accidental contact with clothing. Also, windows, sills and sashes are much easier to clean without the clutter of an external hanging blind.
AIG uses only superior Internal Blind mechanisms and assemblies to ensure long-term, smooth operation for years to come.
